Vale of White Horse Local Plan 2031 Part 2 – Public Consultation on Schedule of Proposed Draft Main Modifications

A six-week consultation on the Schedule of Proposed Draft Main Modifications is running 18 February 2019 until 1 April 5pm.
The Local Plan 2031 Part 2: Additional Sites and Detailed Policies was recently subject to Examination. The Inspector has now requested a Schedule of Proposed Draft Main Modifications to the plan. The schedule reflects the modifications that are considered necessary by the Inspector to make the plan sound.
In summary the Proposed Draft Main Modifications include:
The removal of the proposed allocation of 1,000 houses at Harwell;
A new site for 400 houses at North West Grove;
1,200 houses proposed for Dalton Barracks site, not restricted to brownfield;
Revise Green Belt designation removing Shippon from the Green Belt;
Fyfield allocation remains but subject to completion of Frilford roundabout, unless alternative phasing agreed with Oxfordshire County Council.
