Respond to the County Council’s consultation on the A40
30th September 2015
Oxfordshire County Council is seeking to find a long-term strategy to tackle congestion on the A40 and is holding a public consultation to seek views on possible options.
Oxfordshire County Council is committed to finding a long-term strategy to tackle current and projected congestion on the A40.
‘Investing in the A40‘ looks at the possible options for the long-term strategy.
Five radical options identified include a £50m bus lane, a £120m dual carriageway with a possible £100m ‘North Oxford Bypass’, a £165m guided busway, a £240m tram, or a £285m railway.
The public consultation on the strategy for improving the A40 runs from 26 September 2015 to 8 November 2015.
